Installation

Detailed tutorial about installing Laralum on Laravel.

Prerequisites

  • Laravel authentification system (or your own with the requisites below)

    • App\User model.
    • At least 1 user.

    To do this, follow https://laravel.com/docs/5.4/authentication or use the following command:

    php artisan make:auth
    

Installation Methods

You can install laralum using any of the following methods.

Using composer require

The easy way to install Laralum is using composer, to install Laralum simply require the following package laralum/laralum and you're ready to go:

composer require laralum/laralum

Using composer install

"require": {
    "laralum/laralum": "^1.0"
}

Then simply use the following command to install the dependencies.

composer install

Register the service provider

Register the laralum service provider to load laralum components and auto register other laralum service providers.

To register service provider add the next code snippet to providers array of config\app.php

Laralum\Laralum\LaralumServiceProvider::class,

Migrate the database

Migrate the database to add the basic Laralum tables into the database.

php artisan migrate

Publish the config / views

Publish the public assets, so you can edit the views you need in the front end.

php artisan vendor:publish

After installing

After installing you'll need to configure the basics of laralum, press the configuration link on the sidebar to continue.
